How to fix Pressure Relief Valve

Broken Pressure Relief valve can flood your basement, increase you energy spending, and in the works case, it can explode, and pose serious health risks! To test the valve, you will need a small container – about 1/2 gallon. Once you have your gloves and goggles on, unscrew/remove drain tube off the valve. Place water container directly under valve outlet (which should be facing down). Now open the valve slightly (about 60 degrees from its original position). Be sure not to open it all the way, or HOT water will start pouring down. When you open the valve, the water should start coming out rapidly, under pressure, and you will hear hissing noise. This means your valve is working properly. If water is not coming out – valve is broken. HOW to Fix / Replace Broken Pressure Relief Valve: First – be VERY CAREFUL – water in the tanks is VERY HOT. How the Water Pump System Works

Knowing the basics of how your water system functions is important when selecting a water treatment system because if the wrong type of treatment system is used, it can adversely affect the water pressure and flow rate inside the home. For example, if the well uses a pressure tank, a water treatment system must be installed  after  the pressure tank, to avoid causing damage to the well pump. Water Pump and Pressure System Basics Most water pump is pumped out of the ground automatically using a submersible pump, or a jet pump that sits on top of the ground and draws water out of the ground to create water pressure for the home. Some well water systems use a large storage tank to store the water before it is pumped again to the house.  Other well water systems are gravity fed, and use gravity to provide water pressure to the house. A home water system has two important components in addition to the well itself – a pump and a pressure tank. There are many types and si

What causes water pump problems

What Causes WaterPump Problems PRESSURE TANK Your water pump system is dependent on its  pressure tank . In order for water to be transferred from your pump to your faucets, the water must be pressurized. The tank keeps water pressurized until it is needed. Without the pressure tank operating properly, the pump will not either. This problem could be caused by your pressure switch, which is a safeguard against a burst pipe. If too much water is drawn from the tank at once, it flips the switch that causes the system to shut down. In most cases, this switch is on top of the feed line from the well tank. If it is resting parallel to the ground, it has been turned off. Call a Gainesville well pump repair professional if you need assistance resetting it. SIZE OF YOUR PUMP The size of your water pump is directly related to the size of your property and the amount of water you use. If it is too small, it will not be able to sustain your needs and will have issues as a result. If y
